Chrome or PTM Mirror Caps on an XL

Default Chrome or PTM Mirror Caps on an XL
How many of you have changed the stock mirrors by replacing the OEM mirror cap with chrome or PTM cap on you F-150 XL? I want to know because a question has come up about whether or not the mirror caps will come off on an XL. I need to hear from someone that has actually change the caps on an XL.

I am not sure if they come off or not. I like the OEM black mirrors on them though. I don't care for chrome anyways (why I got the sport package).

I recently got the PTM caps, installed. Worth the price.

I dont understand, why the xlt 302a doesnt get PTM or Chrome caps, depending on package selected! Its a nite and day difference, with them installed...

Mirror caps, come off very easily, on all models...

That's an XLT I'm asking about an XL. I'm not sure about the 2015 and '16 models but the previous model F-150 the mirror shell was all one piece and didn't have a removable cap.

The mirrors are the same just missing the powered motor and blinker. I'm selling he factory chrome caps for $75 shipped to your door btw. Only 3000 miles on them
