That probably what they meant to say...

I can say, personally, that an aluminum body will not sway me to, or not to, buy my next brand of truck. For the common man I think it's about drive train, aesthetics, comfort.

Very true, but they've invested tons of money in it. Plus they aren't selling the 2014's anymore so all they care about is making sure their huge investment pays off. I personally do think the aluminum is better and I think most people/data will agree. I'm just saying those videos will be biased to help Ford gain a return on investment.

What is GM going to say when they start using aluminum. "Our aluminum made sierra is somehow better."

GMC and Chevy hoods are alum now for two model years????

I'm not sold on this whole alum thing. I think it's playing some degree in panel alignment. My 2015 had inside box gaps now they have sealed themselves we will see what happens when winter cold comes back. I thank God I got white because if I got my usual black I would be going nuts with ripples in the panels.

Not unusual for a manufacturer to have its marketing to play to people's fears.

In 2011 Ram said don't trust that V6 EcoBoost with turbos, buy a Hemi!!! Then they put a V6 diesel in their trucks instead of what should have been a 5.0 Cummins. Of course Rams problem is payload. All manufacturers are puting V6 engines in half ton trucks now. This used to be V8 territory.

In 2012 Ram and Cummins said don't buy Chevy or Ford, they have UREA!! It will run out!!! You have to spend 5 minutes filling it every 3-8k miles. Buy a real diesel, Cummins with no UREA. 2013... yep you guessed it... UREA makes you gain horsepower and mpg!!! It's awesome. Cummins with UREA!, trade in your dinosaur!

You would think the Chevy Silverado, and GMC Sierra would do something about their pushrod, 2valves/cylinder engines!

Yep, our Humvee's and MRAP's had aluminum armor; tuff stuff.
