Default Cheapest place to buy tires?

From yalls experience, what is the cheapest place to order tires from? Ive had friends swear by tire rack (able to pick them up at their facility for $16/tire discount in my area). Ive also been recommended simple tire.

Amazon Amazon

I ran across these. Thinking about asking someone to price match and order that way?

What do y'all think?

I used to always order online and have them installed locally. That's usually a good deal and fairly hassle free. The last two sets of tires I bought were purchased from a local family owned shop and both times they got me the tires I wanted in the size I wanted for less than I could find them online for. Lots of small shops are willing to be competitive, but sometimes you need to hunt down the deal. Call up your local shop and see if they will beat Amazon's price. Doesn't hurt to ask, and if they do, you get to support a local business.

Last three times I got tires eBay was always the cheapest. Free shipping and no taxes most of the time. And eBay often has 8-10% back eBay Bucks or coupons.

I also agree with mcr1911, doesn't hurt to find them online somewhere and see if a local shop will beat it.

I always hunt down what I want online & local shops always come super close & I do that. Last tires I bought were for my F150...local shop was $30 more total BUT did a free mount & balance. No haggling...just asked them what they could do. Super simple...

I ordered my Ridge Grapplers from Simple Tire. Bought their during their Memorial Day sale where they were doing 20% off all Nittos so I got the whole set for $700, I know nobody else could beat that price. Might keep an eye on them, they have rotating sales.

I use Craigslist and Facebook and look for new tire take-offs and also Amazon for new tires. I also don't wait until I'm in need for new tires. Unless you're lucky, I've gotten the best deals on tires when I didn't need them at that moment.
My best score was a set of take-off 265/60/18 Michelins for my previous 2012 F150 Lariat. The service manager of a local Toyota dealership bought a new truck and put bigger wheels/tires on it before it left the lot. He put the tires on Craiglist for $600 and after a few days I called and offered $500. Sold. I sat on them for a few months before I mounted them but for the $5/600 or more I saved.......

Once you've decided what tire you want (hopefully not based on price) you simply search Google for the best price on it. There are a ton of shopping tools that help do this.
