Default Changing a new truck order....

My dealer is telling me that once the truck is scheduled to be built (In my case, the first week of October), that no changes can be made. I wanted to verify that my salesman has the correct info on that? Thanks in advance!

That is correct. Scheduling is done based on configuration, trim and options, etc.

I believe once the status changes from Scheduled to Production Locked in no further changes can be made.

Production Locked-In

Order's content has been locked in. Options cannot be changed and the order cannot be cancelled.

When does the status "production locked-in" typically happen? I ordered my truck 2 to 3 weeks ago. Production is supposed to start the first week of October.

As soon as a VIN is assigned, no changes can be made. You have to make your changes while the order is still unscheduled.

Read above....nailed it!!

How long it takes is dependant on two things. One allocations at dealer and when it is actually accepted by Ford to be built. Sometimes that is right away, other times it can be a long time based on Dealership and Ford priorities.

In Terms of selection for production way too many factors. Currently quick would be a couple weeks and long is about a month. I am sure their might be some funky ocassional truck that is outside the normal on either end.

Thinking about this more, I am assuming not even color can be changed once the truck is scheduled to be built? I have a vin number but cannot view it in COTUS yet. Production is not scheduled until the first week of October.

EDIT: COTUS is working. It says the truck is: "In Order Processing", which is the first step.
