Default Carplay Sync 3 not working
I installed the new USB ports and have the correct software version. Yet Carplay will not come up when the phone is connected.

What version of Sync are you running? Is Carplay turned on in settings both on the Sync and Iphone? Does the Iphone charge while it is plugged into the USB ports?

What year truck and version of Sync?

these trucks are REALLY sensitive to cables.

2016, Sync 3 v3.0, phone charges in both ports, CarPlay is on. Where do I turn CarPlay on in Sync at?

Do you see an Android Auto Icon? I am not even close to my truck so I am going by memory. Just to make sure you have the large touch screen version of Sync? Do you have factory Nav? I know without it Carplay works but I am not sure of the Sync version that it requires for that to happen. If you have the factory Nav then V3.0 should be the latest. Can you snap a picture of your Sync About page so we can see what is going on and post it?
