Yeah, this is one of the negatives of CarPlay for me as well.

It is not a Ford issue. It is a Car Play or AA issue. Ford has allowed both to use its screen. Ford stops displaying its Sync 3 app to allow the other apps to show up. The user interface is either Apples fault or Google fault not Fords.

I hate crapple car play. (dont get me wrong i love my iphone). On my 17 GT i used carplay for the first day i had it and never again. The pandora app froze on the sync/carplay system every single time.
