cant give them away

Dealerships around me can't keep them in stock. Out of the 5 closest Ford dealerships, all are below 50% of normal F.150 inventory. Part of it due to the Kansas City plant and the rest due to the rebates ford has been offering since the beginning of July. All said they are selling like hotcakes

Thanks Mike and Hobbs for linking me that info. I appreciate it.
Obviously each dealer is unique and has their own way of pricing things, but this is the *type* of truck I was looking at getting.

I know I won't know the actual number until I walk-in, but I wanted to even see if my thinking was realistic. Would 3-5k off the $40,261 price be reasonable? If I can get something like, it'd be in my ballpark.

Here in central Texas I was able to swing a Supercrew xlt, fx4, with 302a and navigation for 36,200 before taxes. I was planning on waiting until later in the year to buy, but seemed like a good price.

Wow, you both got awesome trucks and great deals to boot.
I think it's safe to say I wouldn't be reaching too far to get a deal around what I would need then. How much shopping around did you both do? I was debating going to 4 or 5 dealerships and have them price war each other. Maybe even more considering I live in San Diego.

This.
I opted to finance outside the dealership and get the highest amount of rebate possible. Ford credit could not offer me a rate lower than 5%.
The dealer scored me a finance rate of 2.7% from Fifth Third Bank.
MSRP was $48,000 (I know nobody but an idiot pays MSRP).
But after rebates, I got mine for $34,000.
2.7% for 72 months on remaining balance after my down payment.
