Default Canadian Import Speedometer Cluster KMH to MPH

I recently Imported a Canadian 2016 F150 Lariat to the US. For my ease and whenever I sell/trade it I need to change the Speedometer to MPH.

Before I did this importation I called my Ford dealership see what the process/price was to Replace the Cluster for a Lariat. They said they would order a new Lariat Cluster, have it programmed to correct miles and VIN, etc, and then swap the old with the new "US" Mph cluster. All for the Low, Low Price of $1100.... Not thinking I want to go that route.

I have changed the settings to the KM changed to Miles through the system settings in the truck, and the digital Speedo will then show the MPH, but I still want the truck to show MPH by the good ol' needle.

Looking at the Gauges, the KM and MPH would be accurate just by swapping out the Gauge faces and having a MPH Gauge face, rather than the KPH one.

The problem I have is finding that product right now.

I have looked on Ebay, Tons of Google Searches, vendor websites, etc and I have yet to find a vendor that has these available for 2015, 2016, or 2017 (And presumably 2018+) Lariat and higher trim F150's. All, hopefully for a reasonable price. Like around/under $100.

Does anyone know of a vendor to get these?

I will keep looking and post what I find about changing the Faces of the gauges on these, as $1100 isn't really an option, and I don't want to buy a used cluster just to program the miles, and then have to do a swap, or pay a dealer to do it.

If you do it by yourself, you might get into trouble since this would not have been done by Ford.

BTW, I thought it was mandatory to have the speedo switched for a US one during the import process?

You probably saved a lot of $, I'd really pay the 1k$ to have the peace of mind.

A dealership imported mine, installed the US gauges and certified the swap. They still made money when I bought it.

Use the money you saved and do it right for the sake of resale, or live with it having KM on the outer ring.

Try to PM Livnitup

He has been successful in converting 8" Canadian clusters for members who are doing the 4" to 8" conversion. Here is the cluster swap thread https://www.f150forum.com/f118/gauge...5699/index114/

Thanks for the input guys.

I found a retailer that has them printed in MPH. Looks like they have all 3 sizes (2inch, 4 inch, and 8 Inch) screen sizes.

Im ordering one from there and will probably find someone to do the install, or just tackle it myself.

I've got a Canadian truck, but the dealer did the swap for me. The one thing that bugs me, is that the digital speedometer still defaults to KM/H and I have to hit OK button to get it to MPH. Is there any way to change its default behavior?

I'm pretty sure I've read that you can switch country code with FORScan so it would default to MPH. Save you from switching cluster.

My cluster is already switched...I just want the default to be MPH, not KM/H.

I just bought a cluster from Livnitup for $500 programmed to my VIN and mileage. Maybe he'd do a swap at a modest cost for you?

I didn't see the 8" screen listed and that is what you need for your Lariat. I may have overlooked it though, the other problem with just switching the face would be that your odometer still racks up the numbers in KMs not miles.

The other option would be to buy a used cluster but then your odometer reading would be off. Like others say, the best way to go is get a new one from the dealer and have no issues.
