Question on DRL with parking lights and low beams
If I use Forscan to run the DRL's as low beams and parking lights will it also light the taillights or just the front parking lights? I am asking because I installed a set of the raptor grill lights that I am thinking about running with my DRL's and would need to do this change in Forscan for that to happen.

DRLs are front lights only.

You can have low beams as DRL or parking lights as DRL, but not both. Parking lights as DRL will light up both the front and rear parking lights.
edit: ignore this. looks like you can do low beams and parking lights

When did DRLs become commonplace in US?

Those are not DRLs despite what FORScan allows you to do.A daytime running lamp (DRL, also daytime running light) is an automotive lighting and bicycle lighting device on the front of a roadgoing motor vehicle or bicycle,[1] automatically switched on when the vehicle's handbrake has been pulled down or engaged in-gear, emitting white, yellow, or amber light. Their intended use is not to help the driver see the road but to help other road users identify an active vehicle.[2]
