Lane keeping system working?

Lane keeping system working?
Hey all. Today I was able to take the truck for a long road trip and wanted to try the lane keeping system. When I cross the line on the side of the road, nothing happens.
From what I can tell in the settings, I have it on (doesn't look like you can turn it off), and I have the aid and alert on.
Any thoughts as to why it doesn't alert or aid me?
Thanks for the help!

Did you try pressing the button behind the shifter to make sure it's activated?

Look right above your steering column and you'll see the follow and lane assist graphic. Once you are over 35MPH it'll show green on each side meaning it's locked onto the lines. It's red when you lose the line. Make sure you also have the options enabled for it to warn and assist. Mine came with just a light warning no assist set.

You configure the alert vs. aid vs. alter/aid in the driver 8" stack.
I suggest you wait until you get on the freeway before enabling it and turn it off in the city. It's a PITA when you're trying to go through the city and it's trying to adjust for you!
The graphic @ the bottom of the driver 8" center stack:
>> <pic_of_vehicle_for_adaptive_cruise> <<
It's the two sets of double arrows on the outside.
When they are green, the vehicle can "see" the stripes in the road.
One will turn yellow if you get close to the stripe
It will go read and 'nudge' you back the other way if you get too close.
But don't count on having it keep you in your lane. It's a lane ASSIST, not an alternative to driving the vehicle.

It will actually turn the steering wheel to keep you in your lane. It's 100% dependent on the camera seeing the road lines. If it can't see them the system won't work. When it does work it's quite effective.
