One switch two fuctions
BLIS came as a stand alone $500.00 option on my XLT
My mirrors also have the spot lights and puddle lights
It's going to be a night to up grade

my mum has a 502a with tow mirrors ( bliss, spots, puddle, turn ) so ill be swapping all the wiring from the doors and the switches required, hoping its doable maybe just requiring extra harness somewhere along the line, i would have liked to order the truck with bliss but i picked it off the lot

When upgrading to the BLIS on an XLT, one would need to upgrade to the power folding mirrors with heat and the BLIS. This includes all the wiring to convert from the 8 pin door sub harness to the 22 pin harnesses, as well as the new door modules. The harness that goes to the tail lights would also need to be changed out to the harnesses that connect to the BLIS enabled LED tail lights. i think this is also a sub harness that is about mid way from the cab and tail gate. I think it is doable and actually may be fun to research if it can be by getting under the truck and sorting it out.

i just crawled under, all my tags are covered in undercoat anyone have those fancy pdf files with harness location and part numbers, I've seen a few for incab harnesses but not from the cab to the tailgate

so i went and put on some gloves when i put my daughter down for a nap.

i pulled my non bliss taillights out and couldn't find a tag so i went underneath from there i followed the harness and found the tag below ( the led box lights and switch connect to this harness behind the bumper )

and the harness after that

that harness followed the framerail to the gas tank and went towards the middle of the truck, but thats where i lost it, must enter the cab above the tank?

what is this type of diagram called, and does anyone have one for a '16
with & w/o Bliss?

This post sorta died in mid stream. Too hard? I'd like to give it a try if anyone has anymore info. My XLT has power heated folding outside mirrors but just the little blind spot mirror.

apparently it needs a lot of wires ran front to back and parts to be added ( two new mirrors and two new taillights all with harnesses & modules ) and changed

"Probably wont revisit it because it involves the CAN +/- communication and it requires ALOT of wiring and rewiring to enable the BLIS system. I think the gateway module is also different than that in a truck without BLIS. This module is about $400-$600.00. It controls ALL other modules in the truck."

Pretty crazy you can't use Ford parts, since you can buy a stand alone system for around $800 plus installation.

mall the parts could be oem if you wanted to swap every harness needed vs running wires where you need them mirriors lights and modules would need to be oem as well, big bucks

OEM parts would have to come from a donor. Just pricing the tail lights and mirrors new is over $2,000 and you'd still need wiring, a Forscan, etc, etc.
