Plasti?
Looks great. is that plastidip or a wrap? The edges of the "Platinum" letters would be the challenge i guess...
did a lot of searching but no one had a clear answer so thought I'd just bite the bullet & learn the hard way as I've wanted to wrap the hideous silver plastic tailgate piece since before I took deliver of my truck in early January.
You need to remove the screws on the inside of the tailgate & remove the panel (this is the easiest part). That'll give you access to all the clips along the top of the platinum plastic piece and the 2 screws that along with the clips hold the piece in place.
Once you remove all the clips and loosen the 2 screws that you access by removing the panel on the inside of tailgate the fun begins... Close the tailgate and then you have to remove all the clips along the bottom of the plastic platinum piece. To do that you have to pull the plastic piece out as far as you can and use some long thin pliers or 2 flat head screw drivers to pinch the clips.
That's about it. Huge pain to take off but very easy to put back on once it's wrapped. And in my opinion ford needs to start doing this at the factory because it looks so much better it's not even funny... Only reason for not doing this is if you have a silver platinum f150 because then it kind of blends in...

Agree with all the comments, excellent job and looks amazing! Please do share how the end result was achieved, paint, wrap, dipped? What color is it, and how did you mask the lettering?

So many questions for neptuno123 and zero follow-up.
Typical auto forum =)
Looks great, I plan to paint mine and have custom billet letters chromed.

Did anybody vinyl wrap their Platinum tailgate panel themselves?
