Cabin Air Filter
I actually used the same style tool and can say that the carbon fiber is stronger than the very thin wood veneer. As soon as I started trying to pop it loose a chip came out of the wood. Fortunately a little black sharpie hid it enough since it was right where the rubber tray hid most of it.

Not to bring up an old thread and to state the obvious - but just changed my Cabin Air Filter after 17 months - not too dirty - went from STP Max Cabin Air Filter CAF1953M to a Motorcraft FP 92 - The FP92 is thinner and of course resulted in more flow than with prior filter.
Nothing wrong with reviving a old topic.
it give me a reminder to order new filters for spring.
I've used Bosch cabin, China cabin and Motorcraft
I don't see much of a difference. But my last one was Motorcraft so thats probably what I'll reorder today.
My kubota tractor the air filter is $68. Bucks
the China ones are $14..I use China and change it a couple times a summer.

Agreed, unless you revive a 12 year old thread that has 1 post and the OP's post count is 1. LOL. I replace the cabin filter at the beginning of the year. Don't matter the mileage. They cheap.
I've changed my cabin filter 8 times on my Platinum, and have never chipped the wood trim.
I used these trim tools from Harbor Freight:
