I'll stick with the standard OEM cabin air filter.... works well enough for me but changing filters is a pain in the a**

Yeah just been putting in the OEM every other oil change since the air in AZ can be dusty.

Does anybody know if air is always forced through the cabin air filter or is it just when the climate controls are on re-circulate?

Didn't know our trucks had a filter!
Figured since they removed them from all the other years they would have put one on this one!
Good to know!

Hello, I've had my truck for a couple weeks short of a year and I had to change the cabin air filter on my dd the other day and it was very easy, ordered a new one for the f150 when I got the dd's. I googled how to do it, kind of crappy youtube video showed how but it was an XLT or something, the 502a has this terrible piece of fake wood plastic on the upper glovebox that does not come off with the black rubber thing that runs the width of the box, how in the world does one remove that thing to complete the cabin air filter replacement? If it's a royal pain then I guess I only need to remove it once and find the part number for the XLT piece that goes there to replace the wood stuff that is probably going to require some kind of weirdness to remove without breaking it?

I just had the dealer change mine last week when getting my oil changed since I'm also coming up on a year. It cost me $45 - Still deciding if it's worth it.

If it wasn't such a pita I would do it myself - Maybe next time I'll give it a shot.

Honestly, Watch the video in the link I posted. 15 minutes if you really take your time and easier than you think or people make it sound. Filters are under $10.

I trust myself to do it right before I'd let the dealer F it up.
