I think I'm going to swap out to some 18" sport wheels until I figure something else out. The chrome is just a little too much for me. I've got about 25 miles on them now and coming from the MT's, the ride is significantly improved. If I didn't know what kind of tires were on the truck, I'd swear they were highway tires. Granted, they're brand new, but they are extremely smooth and quite.

I’m going back and forth between 295/60r20 Toyo Open Country A/T II and Nitto Ridge Grappler. I’m putting a RC 2in leveling kit on when I get the tires mounted. Each tire has their loyal customer, but I’ve heard the Toyo’s have better treadwear. Simpletire.com has 15% off Toyo’s and 10% off Nitto’s right now with free shipping. Seems too hard to pass up.

I've heard great things about the Toyo's as well. I don't think you can go wrong with either. Toyo actually owns Nitto. The Toyo equivalent to the Ridge Grappler is the Open Country R/T. The A/T is more of a traditional all-terrain, while the R/T (and the Ridge Grappler) are hybrids sitting in between Mud Terrain and All Terrain. I'm sure they're all good, just wanted to note the difference.

Another vote for the Ridge Grapplers. I have them and love them and they look so aggressive, yet quiet and smooth. I had the G2's, they were terrible in the rain, rears broke free too easily, they hydroplaned bad and threw stones and water all over the side of the truck due to those small lugs.

I’ve never run wheel spacers but I’m considering it now. Anyone know if I could run a 1” or maybe 1.25” spacer without rubbing? What are the downsides of spacers?

Also, Nitto lists these tires as 35.08” OD, I’m assuming not mounted. I decided to measure today and with 42psi they are just a tad under 34”. I expected a little more height.

I've had Toyos before and loved them. Recently had Falken Wild Peak AT3s on my 03 Lariat, and they may have been the best tire I've had (hard to compare 4 decades worth of tires from memory!).

Truck is dirty but this gives a better idea of the size of the tires. Plenty of clearance with OEM wheels.
