Default Buyers remorse/ want to upgrade

Okay. Please hear me out. I really like my truck, but I realize now that I should have been more patient and built it to my needs...

I have a 2017 XLT SCrew w/ 2.7, FX4, Sport app, Ingot Silver with 9,100 mls.

-I realize now that I really want a 40/20/40 front bench seat for my growing family but all the XLTs with that, have the smaller dash screens (no sinc3?)

I should have custom ordered a Lariat 4X4 without any packages, put in 40/20/40 in black leather. Say no to all the adaptive cruise and 360 cameras and such and it only would have been a couple $ grand more! Why I didn't realize this then is beyond me. AND, Sync 3 is standard.

Questions:

1. Should I sell now or try to pay it down and wait until it has 35K miles?...(I used an equity line, so I have the pink slip). Also, I just picked up a little commuter car so I won't be putting hardly any miles on my truck...

2. If I custom order as opposed to buying one off the lot, can I still take advantage of incentives? I believe I got $6,500 off originally.

You can still take advantage of incentives if you order.

As far as what it will cost you, talk to the dealer where you bought it....maybe they will cut you a break. I'd go straight to the sales manager and just explain that you'd like to see what it would cost to upgrade because you are not totally satisfied with your previous purchase.

My neighbor did that on a 16 4x4 diesel dually F350....he traded it for a 17 of the same thing. I'm sure he lost a lot of money on that deal, just because of what they cost. At least yours won't be as bad as that!

Only you know your financial situation.

Could you not find a jumpseat and swap it for your console (or is it console shift)? Then do aftermarket leather. Seems like all you really want that your truck doesn't have is the jumpseat, or we're there other things?

^^ Agree. Find out the cost to change out the seat(s).

There are usually Sync3's selling in the BST every month or so. Cost and conversion is about $1K. Not sure about the bevel but they are available.

I would think this would be the least expensive route.

Even vasectomy's are cheaper than trading.

Hey boost. Pretty sure you can have the jump seat with the large screen, nav, etc. I did on my 15 xlt. Just can’t get the “pleather” in the xlt.

As far as incentives go, you only get what is available when the truck arrives.

thats why I originally thought, but with the console shift it might be a PITA.

But, it still would.be cheaper than trading the truck in, plus you can probably sell the console for a good price.

Go buy a 3rd row seat SUV if you don't already have one : )

Where you a family of 5 and just found out a new child is on the way or something?

If the 6th seat is a must just bite the bullet and go buy what you need.

The incentives you seek in the new one are the same incentives that are going to kill your trade value on your current truck. Same model year trades, especially when rebates were involved in the purchase, is a losing situation. So now ask yourself, whats the congratulation worth to you?

Well I should be able to get more money for doing a private sale right? I have the pink slip. I know I'll get shafted even more if I trade it in.

The other thing is that I'm pretty sure I'm over the 2.7. Don't need the outstanding mpg now..
