Buy a 17 now, or wait until 18s?
Have a 2013 I bought new in late 12. Looking at a 2017 King Ranch, sticker is 61.4 and they want 53.5 for it. EB with the 10 speed. My only hesitation is whether or not I should wait for the 2018 model year. Not in any hurry, really, but I am a little worried about the orangey color of the 2018 King Ranch seats. I like the current interior. Thoughts?

Well what about the 18s would be a benefit to you? Do you like the new front end that much more to pay the premium of a new model year with fewer incentives (assuming you don't wait until mid year or end of the 2018 model year)? Do you really want the diesel, even though you are looking at an EB now?
If it's not about some must-have feature, and you are looking for a good price, you will be waiting a while, about a year from today actually, to start seeing any incentives on a 2018, possibly longer for a KR.

Does it freeze in your area?If it does wait for a 18 or you may find out in the winter of 17-18 your truck has an issue with the door handles not working in cold weather. Very frustrating to take your new vehicle out from a warm garage and to be locked out when you go to go home or your doors will not latch when you get in. Mine is in today for the 4 door service bulletin repair on this issue. In the Mid west lately we have a problem with freezing rain or just plain rain in Jan & Feb and my truck is not a sunny day only vehicle

Warm garages and washing the trucks in the winter seems to be the culprit with the freezing locks/latches. I park outside, even in 40 below weather, and I've never had the freezing problem, except the one time when I washed my truck on a decent day which ended in a very cold freezing night.
The water from thawing, or the car wash, gets into the mechanisms and freezes.

One plus or minus, depending on your preference is your 17 won't have start/stop whereas all 18's will have it. It doesn't bother me in my 16 but to some it's a pain.
