I'm not interested in how it works on your Infinity or BMW. How about some real world feed back on a '17+ 3.5 eco engine? Actual experience? Ease of installation? How well does it work in....say a towing situation? Stomping on the pedal is fun I admit but it really doesn't help if you use the truck for actual work. If used for towing / hauling is it practical with acceptable fuel mileage? Does using E85 or for that matter any high ethanol content fuel benefit or is better staying with 91 or 93 octane pump gas. Inquiring minds want to know!

The latest will be here: http://www.n54tech.com/forums/showthread.php?t=51436

Post same question there and see who responds. It's not heavily deployed yet on the standard 3.5 motor. Still in early adoption phase.

Using Map 1 for everyday driving and it’s awesome. Really woke the truck up!

thanks for the info.

did you change your spark plugs or are the stockers fine?

Im pretty sure I’ll be going this route. One question, though. If I add downpipes later, would anything else have to be changed on the JB4? What about CEL?

Thank you

That's precisely why I went with the JB4 on our Q50s. The performance improvement is significant (+60hp, 80 ft lbs with +5 PSI boost on 92 octane) and I can pull it off in 15 minutes. Because I have extended warranties on both new vehicles, this is the way to go for me. Yeah, you can get more power out of a tune, plus the shift strategy, but the 2018 EB3.5 + 10 speed is pretty solid already. +50HP and +75 ft lbs would be just fine for me.
Manufacturers can detect piggybacks just as easily! I’m a BMW master tech and I see customers warranties get voided quite often. The software in newer cars no longer looks for coding/software manipulation, instead it acts as a dyno and determines the vehicle is making more power than it should. It looks at speed, rpm, as well as engine sensor data to determine it has been modified/enhanced. Tuners and piggybacks are great power adders but BUYERS BEWARE there is no safe way to do it without risking your factory warranty.

Last year when I got my Infinity Q50 red sport I found these guys on the Infinity forum and decided to give their JB4 a try. I absolutely love it. 4 plus boost over stock (map 1) made my car much faster and doesn’t leave an imprint on the ecu. When I saw the JB4 for the ecoboost I pulled the trigger immediately and installed it a few days later. It’s amazing! Totally different truck now. Just as smooth as stock but with likely 40 + more HP on map 1. Trucks spins the tires now if I floor it at 25-30 mph. I like driving the truck now almost more than the 400hp Infinity. If any of you are looking for more power without risking your warranty, JB4 is the answer! Absolutely awesome truck now!

Do you have any more feedback from your JB4 install!

If anyone is looking for a cheap JB4, let me know. Sold the truck, so I have no need for it anymore.

So it is just for 2017+ 3.5L Ecoboosts engines right? It won't work on a 2016?
