Budget, no frills XL SCAB
This spring and early summer I found myself searching for a new truck. I quickly ruled out a used truck seeing how insanely inflated the market is. After trips to a few dealerships and test drive I thought I was set on a 5.0. Well, one well informed salesman recommenced that i try the 2.7 with the 3.73 and there was no turning back.
What I ended up buying had to be shipped in from a few hundred miles away but was, in my opinion, the best budget F150 you can build.
XL SCAB
101a power package
2.7 w3.73 E locking
2.7 payload package
4x4
Sport appearance
Running boards
Integrated trailer brake controller
Added spray in Line-x and a bed mat
Its a simple, clean looking truck, doesn't look like a contractor special, doesn't cost like a Lariat. It gets great gas mileage and I'm not afraid to get it dirty. Floors are messy from muddy boots?, wipe the vinyl down. Need to haul myself and 5 extra bodies, sure it not comfortable but its happened already. Need to drive 500 hwy miles, 23.5 mpg... not too shabby. First Ford anyone in my family has owned but certainly not the last.
My only regret is that I didn't get a rear view camera. Had a close call with a parent-less toddler in a parking lot that has me seriously contemplating adding one.
Maybe next time around, in 10 years or so, I can drop the big bucks on one of these fancy pants luxury trucks.

Sweet truck! Gotta love a truck that doesn't try to double as a cadillac

So that's what a real pick up truck looks like! Congrats!
Other than the grill there's not much difference between yours and my XLT Sport.
At least you have your priorities straight, the 4x4 and 3.73 E-locker will take you a lot farther than heated seats and Sync.
