You aren't that far over mileage for warranty. I'd stop by your dealer and have a discussion. This would be an ideal circumstance for "after-warranty assistance". It's clearly a manufacturing defect, not something caused by use/abuse.

It's definitely not a clear film, it's the actual black surface itself.

My local dealer holds the line pretty firm on warranty. I tried to call in on the door latch issue and no luck(fortunately the issue seems to have resolved itself).

Would go this route & maybe try a 2nd dealer.

Funny enough, when I was shopping for trucks, I really wanted to get the 4.2"(would love 8" but wasn't shopping for Lariats), and most of the trucks I was finding had the basic 2" screen. I had almost resigned myself to buying one of them and doing a swap until I got my truck.

I'll probably do the 8" at some point, but for now I'll just tolerate the bubbling since I hardly notice it anymore. Going to throw my $$$ at a muffler and some bilsteins first, and then paying down the loan.

You're just going to tolerate this? At the very least you should contact Ford customer service on here and see what they say. Looks to me like it's only going to get worse, you can see it's starting to bubble by the tachometer too.

Nope, stopped visiting Explorerforum.com also, which I am a member of as well. They disappeared from all of them.
