I got about 1000kms on my 2018 2.7 and the trans works beauty.
My dads 2018 mustang also has the same one and it works amazing.
Sorry to hear your having problems.

If if they would have had one in the specs I wanted I would have bought one for sure (ended up with a 5.0 6-speed that I also love).
Very true my 2017 3.5 Eco Boost and 10 speed is very nice built in May of 2017,my brother complains about his 2017 3.5 and 10 speed his truck was built in April of 2017!

Isn't this what a forum is for? Hell, if my vehicle was giving me problems I'd air it out on here as well. Fortunately for me its not been the case.

I have had a Ranger with a crappy 4.0 and 5R55E tranny that was the smoothest auto tranny I have ever experienced and I am 55. The 2002 5R44E auto tranny in my current Ranger is also a lot smoother than the 10 speeds I have. I think the 5R55E would work well with these new F150's … LMAO What a shame.

I sure hope that is sarcasm. the 5r55e is the biggest slushbox auto out there. press the gas pedal and 5 seconds later start moving, yeah smooth.

Sorry to hear you have a dud... My 2018 has been excellent and this transmission is fantastic... Smooth shifts, fast up and downshifts, quiet, and always keeps the engine in the torque curve.... Destroys my 2015 6sp when it comes to performance, hands down.

Out of a few million, I am sure there is a bad one or one that was mistreated.

This trans is boggy, clunky, SLAMS at random times, whines, chatters and generally doesn't know what it wants to do. It's truly the WORST transmission I have ever experienced, and I am 46 years old and driven 100 vehicles. The Trans in my 2012 Mustang GT is leaps and bounds ahead of this. When I drove my GF's Accord it was like OMG so smooth and responsive compared to this. 2018 technology in a $52k vehicle? This is HORSE****.
Did you test drive the vehicle before you purchased?

I will say it is so hard to get used to. Mine seems to operate as it should, but it shifts soooooo much it drives me nuts. Traffic is the absolute worst, the thing is shifting every few seconds.

I look at mechanical things as everything has a life cycle, and with these millions of extra shifts and constant gear hunting, I'm having a very hard time thinking its going to last me the 10+ years I'm expecting.

Mine does function quite well and is very smooth,I think I'm just struggling with the concept of the 10 speed.
