Breaking my silence. This 2018 10-spd Trans is TERRIBLE
Can't believe it's just me. I spent $1k on a tune & tuner but refuse to load it because of this trans. Waiting to take it to the dealer. Before purchasing I watched all the reviews on youtube etc, everyone talked about how great and smooth this trans is. LMAO. It's the furthest thing from that. This trans is boggy, clunky, SLAMS at random times, whines, chatters and generally doesn't know what it wants to do. It's truly the WORST transmission I have ever experienced, and I am 46 years old and driven 100 vehicles. The Trans in my 2012 Mustang GT is leaps and bounds ahead of this. When I drove my GF's Accord it was like OMG so smooth and responsive compared to this. 2018 technology in a $52k vehicle? This is HORSE****.

Seems to be pretty hit and miss with the 10-speed. I don’t have one but was test driving a 2017 EB with the 10-speed.....smoothest truck I have ever driven.
But it from the sounds of the forum there definitely is a number of people with issues.
If if they would have had one in the specs I wanted I would have bought one for sure (ended up with a 5.0 6-speed that I also love).

ford or GM Transmissions now are all the same. My 14 gmc was re flashed so many times and each made worst. Should have
just left it alone. Think all will be the same today. All computer controlled and fitted for the start stop and economy. One have
in my limited is fine. Will not take in if clunks or downshift develops. it will come back worst
When I say fine. its smooth as can be, no issues. Been that way since delivery. My 2 week old escalade 10 speed is
smooth as can be. I did ask the service writer at the ford house today about issues. He said sure some issues but many
are just people being too sensitive to the feel of the modern units. Very few require work. Told him have no issues what so
ever as of today. Tomorrow, future who knows... Why was at the ford house that recall thing, what ever it was.

Mine works just fine. They're making about 1 million units a year? Maybe 800K? Your sucks, I get it. Go get a new one or sell it. Bitching online gets you what? Sympathy? Please....move on and get over yourself.

Had similar experience with a 2018 3.5 ecoboost rental I had few weeks ago. I did a kam reset (unhooked negative side of the battery for a couple hours) then drove it how I like to drive, after about 300 miles it actually got a lot better.
But yeah it was pretty clunky, took a **** ton of throttle to downshift and not lug, felt like it had bad drive line slack until then
