I respect the SAPD they do a good job protecting us here in San Antonio. I don’t like that have a lot of unmarked cars like 5.0 Mustangs for the only purpose is traffic tickets and as a tax payer we pay for those cars and I know that generates revenue to keep our City Manager her more than $500,000 a year job and she does not support our SAPD finest.
thats off my chest now!

Contrary to what some think, the windows are no longer very easy to get through. The windshield (really...) doesn't give up without a serious fight. Your driver and passenger front windows are likely "acoustic glass", which basically means they have a piece of plastic sandwiched between tempered glass like your windshield. Thus rendering them essentially impenetrable. That leaves the rear windows for an access point.
My '07 got broken into. Those were easy to get into, but the thieves didn't know it. All you had to do was put a screwdriver in the lock cylinder and pop it, from there it would open right up. They pried the door handle up (like yours), but due to the different design of handle it dented the door, and still didn't let them in. They then pried the window between the door pillar and the window to break the glass quietly.

I'm surprised your factory alarm did not go off. I've set mine off twice accidentally.
I would suggest someone cloned your FOB because it's real easy to do. But they wouldn't have had to drill your lock. They would have just sent an open command. Had 3 brand new Audi stolen off the lot here recently because of a 10 dollar cloning piece of electronics

However, and to your point, I don't remember the truck doing the 2x chirp when I unlocked it, but I may not have been paying close attention and it does that when a loud vehicle vibrates it, so I may not have been listening for it.

Actually, it is now EASIER now for side windows if the person knows what they are doing. Few if any thiefs are going through a windshield that is laminated layers and requires a saw. I have busted many as a career firefighter. I can teach a 7 year old how to break a car window in less than 10 seconds, with no mess, and somebody standing 15' away won't even hear it if has acoustic glass.
Before the acoustic glass, you had deflection and it would not break as easy. Now that lining isolates the glass and forces the impact through the entire piece of glass, making it easier and quieter. It even holds the window together. Love when there is tint inside because that helps even more.
All it takes is a $3 center punch, a small blanket and a hammer.

I guess I should have taken my own advice. I was eating lunch today at Twin Peaks yes eating lunch parked against the building and someone popped the lock and broke into my truck stole the sliding tray in the center my scrip sunglasses some other crap, garage door opener there was MAX 360 hanging on the mirror did not touch it 2 rigid impact drills in the back seat.
oh well Viper here I come again.
Had the 9mm in my pocket to bad I did not catch them!
had my factory alarm on I guess it only works if there is broken glass that is useless its connected to a 100 decibel siren did not even go off.
Anyone want to Class Action against Ford for how easy it is to break into our trucks and the false sense of factory security system on our trucks and my Platinum 2016
