And there is the fact that it didn't leak till after it rained..

I think more likely the windshield seal or sunroof drain not connected or plugged.
I live in a desert. I didn't even think that it could be rain! lol! (we get very little rain)

Lol! Those are the guys on the other side of the Cascade Mountains. Rain rarely makes it to us. Instead of rain, we get lots of wind and dust. Ugh....

Sux to see that. Windshield seal or moonroof, if you have one, would be my guess. Let's see what they say.

Update:

Got the truck back tonight, carpet is still wet drivers floor all the way to the back door drivers side. Service advisor said that the leak was from where the emergency brake attaches to the cab, there was a gap where there should have been a sealant but was missing some from the factory. She said the technicians filled the gap and tested it and it was good to go. I asked about the carpet, and they offered to replace the carpeting. Based on the fact that this leak was here from the start, there's no way to tell how soaked the carpet has been from day one, so I'm having the carpet replaced by them. They are going to order the carpet and let me know when it gets in. Here's to hoping the leak was fixed... supposed to go camping this weekend!

Don't car factories run the vehicles through a "rain" chamber to check for leaks during the manufacturing process? Seems like I've seen this on all the car shows I watch on TV.

I would have assumed that as well haha, but I guess they took a day off when they built mine

That's a lot of water. I'd be pissed. Try to air that out as much as possible until the new carpet comes in. Don't wanna have that musty smell lingering.

I would lift the carpet up and look for mold. Many guys who have have leaks have noticed mold. That way you tell your dealer that needs to be cleaned up when they pull carpet. If you don't point it out, they will just throw the new carpet over top of the mold, even if they notice it.

If you can, go to an equipment rental store, get an air mover, first take a shop vac and get as much water out of the carpet as you can, then run the air mover until dry, what I would do is pull up one of the rear kick panel area, and get under the carpet from there and put the air mover in there, I would hate to have to do that but if you allow your truck to have water in it, it will have mold, open that thing up, get as much water up, and use an air mover. It will not take long for the air mover to dry the carpet out, oh and I would make Ford pay the bill for the air mover rental.
