I think it's time to close this thread. Once again a member has ask a question, but the thread has been overrun by "experts" that refuse to answer the OP's question without a negative opinion about aftermarket intakes.
The Op did not ask your opinion of intakes, but opinions of the various brands. If you do not have anything constructive to aid to the conversation, please go away.
To the Op , I like the sound of the K&Ns I have had on various engines. For some it was maybe a bit to loud, especially when pulling a 6% grade towing a travel trailer. But the part throttle cruising was quiet. And of course I like the looks. The intake air temperature was only slightly higher in stop and go traffic, but was always the same as stock above 20 mph.

Increase at the top end. That only makes sense, and since most of us don't run in that range with a DD, might be why we don't see improvements. Of course running like that, fuel mileage isn't a consideration.
I can certainly see on a supercharged engine, or a retrofitted turbo, how it could help. But most of us aren't like that, so, do what you want.

mainly looks for now and the reusable filter is nice. I currently have my exhaust done and would like to improve airflow for when i tune it. Im not racing or anything crazy. Its also debatable on gains, which i fully understand both sides. Are you still oem or aftermarket? If aftermarket, what did you choose and why? Does it whistle or anything out of the norm? Which brands to avoid, if any?

My intake is still OEM, I haven't made up my mind, but the Airaid and S&B are in the running. After my experience with K&N, I'm steering far away from them, once burned, twice shy.
Someone on here was having problems with a Roush set up, you'd think they'd be good since their Mustangs are pretty good runners. Maybe do a search for that thread.
At any rate, I'd recommend a dry element, with a prefilter, sock, on it. That seemed to work well for me. I checked the tubes a few times with my Airaid on the last two trucks, and they were always clean.

I'd like to get some turbo whine out of this, but the guys that have installed a CAI, haven't gotten back on here to let anyone know.

Im liking the S&B myself, it is one of the best looking sealed ones I have seen with the see-thru plexi-glass top, it has nice straight direct air tubing into the filter box instead of the 2 sharp 90* bends the stock system has! I still have not decided if Im gonna get one or not either.
