Default Brake sudden grind noise??

Alright so I have a 2019 5.0 lariat 2WD, I noticed tonight on my way home from work I was coming to a stop sign to turn out of the parking lot and as I braked I heard a very sudden and fast grind noise it only happened for the split second and was gone. It’s happened before but it’s super rare when it occurs I’m not sure what it could be anyone have any idea what can cause this? It feels like the pedal goes limp for a second but it still continues to brake so I don’t think it’s a safety concern. I just want to know if it’s something to be concerned with? Or is it just another weird 5.0 noise thing. Please if anyone knows I’m just making sure it’s nothing serious.

ABS pulses the brakes and makes what might be described as a "grinding noise" when it's active. Were you standing on the brake, or hydroplaning or braking on a slick spot? If so, ABS might have engaged momentarily to keep the truck straight as you braked.

no I was lightly braking just coming to a stop sign, only thing I can think is maybe because I was going on a slight incline but it’s such a minimal incline I wouldn’t think it would have any effect

If I were you, I would do a quick check on the brake pad. In my case, it ended up the rear brake caliper was seized.
