Brake Fluid Change added to Scheduled Maintenance beginning with 2020 Model Year
As brake fluid ages, some of the fluid properties deteriorate. Changing brake fluid at least every 3 years ensures the fluid meets its optimal specified performance. Scheduled Maintenance for 2020+ Model Year vehicles will include Brake Fluid Change with a specified interval (see Owner’s Manual for details). Refer to the appropriate 2020+ Model Year vehicle workshop manual (WSM) for brake fluid change procedures.

Glad to hear Ford is finally recognizing this.
Need rear brakes soon - will be getting it done at the dealer. Will have them change out the brake fluid then also as the truck is now 4 years old (bought last year).

No fart cans allowed
I am willing to bet most comments will be "I've never changed brake fluid and never had an issue". People usually look at me like I am crazy when I tell them I just flushed my brake fluid. I have been flushing fluid for years and replacing with the appropriate Valvoline full synthetic a minimum of every 5 years. Radiator gets the same. If you keep your vehicle a lot of years and don't want issues it simply makes sense to regularly maintain all fluids.

This is why, "it wasn't in my owner's manual so I don't need to do it" is not a sufficient argument to detract from a proposed additional maintenance item.

Old Fart
Let me be the first then. But it does make sense to do it. I wonder what the mileage limit on it might be or is it just a time thing? There are a couple people on here who claim over 100,000 miles in a year or two of ownership.

If you DIY and have an air compressor and this:
it's a one person, 20 minute job, plus a couple bucks of brake fluid. Moisture in the brake fluid corrodes and gums up the calipers/pistons, so for long term owners it's a big money saver.

Judging by average mileage, they will probably recommend it at 3 years or 50,000 miles.
