I would take it in if it was mine.

Why would you not take it in? Clearly that is not normal. You might need to find a different dealer.

+1 on "not right". I'm sure many of us have differentials that look like this...but, it is not how they are designed. They are not supposed to leak "at all".

Now, the leak you have is very, very minor; however, if you have warranty - then I would definitely take it in.

I don't know why the dealer would push back - they just charge Ford for the work....same as if you paid.

If it was mine... I'd be inclined to take it in. But I don't even take my truck in for the free oil changes and tire rotations they threw in because its a pain in the *** getting to and from dealer, dropping off, etc. I'd prolly just crawl under there, take off the little 10mm (looks like) bolts from the electrical part, pop a new seal on and call it a day.

Brought it in Monday. They replaced a differential lock connector. Part Number AU5Z-14489-AAA. Seems to be fine now. I will keep an eye on it. they didn't do A very good job cleaning it up. but it is a truck and they get dirty.
