It's absolutely not the same as a fraudulent warranty claim. Dollars are not simply dollars. cthusker addressed this very well already. If you didn't understand it, then we're done here.
Ford and other manufacturers gain some other advantages by motorsports sponsorship. Research and development, field testing, and direct feedback all help to develop new technology and improve existing technologies. We all ultimately reap benefits from this. And yes, we're going to pay for this one way or the other, anyway. It has to be done to remain competitive in the marketplace.
I can't see where Ford paying for a fraudulent warranty claim helps you at all. But feel free to chip in a few dollars for the OP's repairs. As you pointed out, you're already paying for his truck's advertising, anyway.

Still need to flash it back to stock which will reset the ignition counter unless you plan on rolling into the dealer's service dept. with the truck flashed with an aftermarket calibration
That's only one parameter they check, but the first and easiest. The entire Ford document is very thorough and a good tool for the dealer to use if the dealer wants to build a case with the intent of denying a warranty claim if an aftermarket modification(s) caused a failure.

Would just be curious to see what additional information is available at the dealership level. From my understanding it's pretty minimal.

Tmcolegr, any chance you'd be able to post the full Gas Engine Modification doc? The reason I ask, from what I've heard from a few Ford Techs, there isn't any additional information they are able to pull from IDS other than the mode 9 data ignition counter and whether or not the PCM calibration file is stock or not. In order to fully make a case, Ford would have to have them send in the physical PCM for detailed forensics which they informed me they've never been requested to do.

WOW! 23 pages and 223 posts. Yet the OP has yet to return. Not seen since 10-30-2017 08:59 PM.
i think the OP just signed up under another userid and is keeping reading posts from there....OR is so paranoid to sign back on since all his deleted posts.

Well...based on the technical information posted here, if the OPs dealer checks his ECM, he may be responsible for damages incurred...may be why he is so silent...just sayin', I can't back it up....

Wow you guys are savages holy **** lol. Just so you guys know a bit more I've been swamped at work lately and when i saw how many replies this was getting i didn't have time to read through it but here's the deal.
1. You guys are pretty intense on creeping some random dude on the internet but i get it, originally looked pretty shady.
2. Yes i tried to delete the downpipe post i made a while back because i didn't want to scare people off, i took the downpipes off a week after i got them which ill get to.
3. Yes it was tuned at one point but was not at the time of failure. I tried 3 different tuners, but the truck didn't run right ever tuned, and i still lost my remote start because the downpipes threw a check engine light. Finally decided i didn't want the headache and really wanted my remote start back so downpipes came off and so did tune.
4. Mods at time of failure: drop in air filter, mbrp cat back, full race catch can, and a levels intercooler.
5. Told my servicing dealer in North Carolina exactly what i told you here, and had the above listed mods on when it was towed in and i am footing the bill on a new motor, but they gave me a huge discount on the labor and ill have a better warranty after which both are a show of great ford customer service on the dealer end.
6. Let this be a lesson to those on the fence, i can't say for sure tuning caused premature damage ect because i did everything possible to maintain my truck with top quality fluids and services, but it did not fail while tuned so take that for what it is.
7. Not blaming any tuner, everyone blamming this or that tuner but reality is it was constantly changing between tunes and even running 93 octane in 91 tunes for added security. Moral is modding is never safe, even if you fully understand how things work, sometimes **** just happens.
8. Yes the bill sucks, but in a sense i think i got a really fair deal and in the long run will probably save me a lot of money not modding anything again.
To all the concerned people in here, social justice was served so you can go back to your regularly scheduled leveling kit discussions. Thank you.
