I have a 15. I have 19,500 miles on it. Bought it new in June of 16. Low mileage not unusual.

IMO,don't come on here looking for sympathy when you know you had a tune on the truck that could have very well been the cause of the blown engine!!!
Guys that have had tuned engines replaced under warranty consider your selves lucky!!!Just curious if you guys had the money to replace the engine if it did blow knowing Ford could deny your claim?

Why tune a 3.5 anyway? If the turbo on that isn't enough power for you why not start with a stronger 5.0 and go up from there?

Even if it was tuned at the time of blowing. ALL the other mods will also void warranty. Don't see how 1 could return it to stock, without telling.. hopefully they have a good service department that they can drop a tip and get it fixed. My buddy blew his 3.5 ecoboost at around 20k miles. Since new motor, his truck hauls ***

Some people tune just to make the vehicle more efficient which is the reason I'll be tuning my new one but that's all I'll probably do. And come on an extra 80 hp for a couple hundred bucks how could you resist

Wow!!! The infamous tuner SSI has another blown engine. Do people not research tuners??? SSI has the WORST reputation anywhere for blowing up these ecoboosts.

According to all of the rabid SSi supporters you are totally wrong; there has never been an issue with his tunes, and they are the fastest out there. Turn on dripping sarcasm, please! 😉 It didn't take me long to figure out I didn't want to touch any tune with SSi on it, but then I try to perform due diligence before taking the leap. I also prefer taking a conservative route to/when tuning; I would rather leave a little on the table in the name of reliability and longevity. Lesson learned for the OP, hopefully. He is woefully absent from his threads......

"conservative" tunes from others are also linked to blown engines - just saying. Any tune creates risk which may or may not materialize in an owner out of pocket for a new engine.

There is an old saying that may be applicable here.
"Play if you must, Pay if you bust".
