Default Blower users...questions

I seriously thinking about putting a blower on my 16 5.0 scab 4wd.

Im looking for some feedback from anyone who has supercharged a 15+ truck. Im not looking to get into swapping headers, exhaust systems,suspension,tires......Im talking slapping a blower on an otherwise stock truck. Anyone done it?

Im curious on what the output is,any issues that came up later and any issues with warranty work.

Even though my truck is a 4x4 Im not really looking to go the off road mall crawler look with it. Im thinking of just doing a total sleeper work/sport truck thing with it thats a blast to drive. As of now bone stock I got it running 14.60s at 95mph and I think this truck able to dip into the 13s would be a riot.

I had seen a thread earlier with someone talking about supercharging their 5.0. I think it came out to like 636rwhp. The Shelby F-150's are supercharged at 700+hp, but that's probably engine horsepower.

Power train warranty? Forget about it. Bolt on super charger Forget about it. You will need at least injectors and a tune. There are kits available with the additional parts needed. just a bit pricey. If you are looking as a daily driver / weekend warrior for the money your looking at consider trading for a 17 2nd gen eco. and keep your warranty. JMO

I believe some supercharger kits are coming with a powertrain warranty from the manufacturer of supercharger but you must run the tune that comes with kit (no aftermarket tunes).

Actually you could most likely get a roush kit installed by a dealer and keep all your warranties. It's a ford approved kit.

The best bang for your buck and to keep a warranty is go with the Roush kit. Have it done at a Roush authorized dealer and drive away with a big smile.
