For me at the 1.75 setting, I was not dead even. I still have an inch of rake. It did seem almost dead even at first, until it settled after a while. I prefer a little rake anyway for towing.

Based on all the threads and all the reports, and my own experience --

The 1.75 setting will provide 3/4 - 1" of rake, depending on what's in the bed, and how level the truck is when you measure (put a level on the running board).

My 7/8" rake is attributed to the 200# cap I have on the back. Others with bed covers, toolboxes, etc will vary. The least I've seen with the 1.75 setting is 3/4" of rake, and he had that heavy duty bed drawer system AND a cap.

Here's how mine sits at the 1.75 height mark, not measured it yet but it looks close to flat. I had an AS 2" level kit in it before and still looks about the same as then.

I received shocks today. Took me all but 20 minutes to take out the rears and put in the new ones. It's obvious how bad the stock ones are. It takes little effort to fully compress them then they slowly move back out. Soft like a sponge. Trying to decide to tackle the fronts on my own.

I'm doing my rears this weekend and having a shop do my fronts and install new tires next Thursday.
I could do the fronts myself but.... if a shop does it and something isn't right.....it's their problem to deal with fixing.....not mine!

How long are you guys waiting before adjusting the headlight aim and getting an alignment when changing the fronts? Have read a few posts now about settling and wondering about the downsides apart from tire wear. Would rather just not drive at night for a few weeks than have to get it re-aligned twice...

Immediately get alignment and adjust headlight. One alignment is all that is needed. Headlights are simple to adjust. All you need is a screwdriver. I've made two adjustments already. Once from factory and again after leveling.

Got the Bilsteins installed today! Did the rears myself and had a shop install the fronts and the new tires for me. Fronts are set at 1.75 (second highest). Left plenty of rake still. Tires are Falken Wildpeak AT3W's LT275/70R18.
