What 5L said. If you're 4WD, you can remove a spacer block from the rear axle-to-leaf spring mount and drop the rear about an inch. If you're 2WD, the only thing you can do is install 1" lowering shackles. I wouldn't. just yet...

I'd install the 5100s at their topmost, then drive the truck for awhile until you can find out more about how to fine-tune the rear height to get what you want.

I measured last night and it is about 1" difference with the back being higher right now. I am going to measure again on more level ground to see if that is accurate. Currently no lift/lower in the rear or front. Thanks!

So took some more measurements tonight on a few different surfaces. This is before the level (5100s) go on Wednesday. Thinking of doing the 3rd highest or the highest setting based off the numbers below. Wanting the higher (just over level) look.

It’s easy to see why F150 outsells all other brands. That is a beautiful truck regardless of how it sits.

Default Upside Down Bilstein 5100?

The Ford dealer just installed a pair of rear Bilstein 5100s on my 2018 F150. To me they are upside-down----unless you are standing on your head.

Does it matter? I've sent the question to the manufacturer, but no response yet.

Totally upside down. I'd just take the 10 minutes and flip them. Super easy, do it with truck on ground and 4 bolts.

That's correct: After you correct the shocks' orientation, torque the fasteners while the truck is on the ground.

yup all bilsteins have the sticker set so you should be able to read it when they are installed correctly.

Just as everyone else stated, they are upside down. You’ll see drain holes at the one end of the rubber. Those holes face down. It’s in the instructions included with the set. I just installed mine last week on my 2018.

If you do take back to the dealer can you ask them what the torque settings are and share? Thanks!
