Hey Guys,
I currently have a 2.5" Auto spring leveling spacer. I was going to get the Bilstein 5100's but keep them on the lower setting. im after the ride quality not the lift from the Bilstein shocks.

In your opinion, would I be better to keep the spacer and not use the height adjustment settings OR remove the spacer and use the height adjustment on the Bilsteins?

Pull the spacer, Max the Bilstein if you need the 2.5'' of lift. Exact swap I did.

Looking for opinions. I'm wanting to replace the rear shocks with either the Fox 2.0 or the Bilstein 5100s. I do mostly rural and highway driving. If I go off road, it wouldn't be anything wild. What has the better road manners of the two?

Bilstein. And you don't have to rebuild them like you do the Fox. This alone should make your decision easier.

Default Ordered Bilstein 5100

I just ordered the Bilstein 5100 (4x4) front and back set from Stage3MotorSports. From what I've seen, they have the best price ($375) and people seem to be happy with the customer service. I was quoted $200 to install the set by my local after-market garage. I called the dealer first and they said I was better off going with an aftermarket garage because it would be much cheaper. Anyone else had this expreince?

I'm hoping to get these installed this week and when I do, I'll post some pics here. I want to go with the middle setting to fit some 33's at least. I want to keep a little bit of rake. Does anyone have their Bilstein's on the 1.76" setting with bigger than 285/55/20s?

I just installed the Bilstein 5100's on my 2015 f150. I set them at the second from top level (supposed to be 1.75") and look pretty much dead level with a toolbox in the back. First I jacked the truck up and put it on jack stands. Then took off the struts. I took the oem struts to a local shop as the hand cranked strut compressors started to bend before I could even take the top nut off. They charged me $25 Canadian each to do the swap. I did not take measurements before installing, but I have some crappy cellphone pics.

What a difference these shocks have made; cornering is so much better plus it looks decent too.

FYI...talked to Bilstein this morning. They will not recommend or warrant the use of their 5100's or their 4600s (non-ride height equivalent) on lifted vehicles due to the lack of testing. Shame, seems to me they are missing out on share of the market.

I called Bilstein yesterday to ask when the 6112's are coming out; they said "late summer." Seeing how it took them almost a year past their projected release date to get the 5100's out, I'm not holding my breath that the 6112's will be out before this time NEXT year. I think a set of 5100's is in my future. I can't wait another year for the 6112, though I'm sure its going to be a much nicer shock.

@ ZAIN, I can't believe how high the 1.76" setting makes your front end. I'll go one setting lower since I have a canopy on the back. I like the 17" wheels, I'm probably going that route too.
