I did put 5100's on the rear. Used part number from 2013. They work awesome. I guess I put that in another thread somewhere. Still waiting for the front adjustable to be available. When I drive my '06 with them installed it is a really big difference when I go back to my '15 without them. I'd pay double to get them now.

I put Bilsteins on my Ranger years ago, and they worked great! I also put Konis on a Volvo years ago, and they worked great also. The Konis were adjustable.

from your older thread

Install easy, just put the bottom on first so you have something to grab to compress them down to get the top bolt in. A pain putting the top bolt in first. Wheels stayed on. Mounted with boots toward the bottom. Silver truck, silver shocks a win. Stock shocks felt and looked like toys. Light and very easy to compress. I know not a good way to judge a shock but Ford stock shocks always sucked. Truck just feels so much more stable now. Just can't wait for the fronts to be released. So far on my rear suspension I have added a leaf, installed sway bar, changed tires over to Load range E BFG KO2's and now the shocks. All parts together made a huge difference in handling and ride. I carry a lot of weight also in the back all of the time. I find myself aiming for bumps now just to see the truck absorb them. I used part # 33-187501. It was just a guess on what year would work. They work pretty damned good. The ride quality is superb but not any harsher than before and I only did rears. $156 from Tire Rack delivered for the pair.
other then cosmetics any reason why you ran them "upside" down?

Does it matter which way is up on these shocks? pros? cons? I've always done boots down on rear but if that is wrong i will flip.

But feel free to try and get one warrantied, they'll just tell you a little oil is normal, even when the entire shock and spring is covered and the other is bone dry.

Never again.

I imagine the new part number will be softer because of the trucks weight loss

Are these available for the 15's yet? Whats the advantage over a level kit?
