All that negative talk about Shawn at SSI scared the crap out of Me, because I had him tune My 03 Cobra, and 04 Lightning. I still have the Lightning, and luckily ,have never had a reason to contact Him since 04.
I'll be careful who I choose for My 15 3.5 Eco

We actually picked up a 2.7 F150 now to go along with our 2013 F150 3.5 and our 2015 3.5 as well. We are in the process of finalizing the 2.7 tuning and will hopefully have some official numbers ready very soon. I can PM or give you a call to discuss the tune and things further as they become available to me if you would like. I will be posting the results officially on here as well. The 2.7 tuning has been quite a wait compared to our standard release times, but I can assure you it is well worth the wait.

We were first to tune the 2015 F150 3.5 EcoBoost and actually purchase the vehicles that we use for tune development and validation. So all of our tunes are developed in house on our chassis dynos and then driven daily for a substantial amount of time before ever being released to the public. This is just part of what sets us apart from the rest when considering who to go with when looking to tune your vehicle.

We have had more industry leading firsts when it comes to the EcoBoost family than anyone, and tuned more Ecoboost vehicles to my knowledge than anyone on the planet. Feel free to give us a call if you would like to discuss this further or to place an order as well. My name is Anthony @ 313-561-5500 ext 103.
What benefits will I see from this tune?
Can I get increased MPG and if so what can I realistically expect?
Torque/HP?
What can I expect there?
If I get increased MPG will my torque HP e affected?
What's a cost range for this tune?
Thanks much

Default Best tuner for 3.5L eco boost?

Hey I know it's not livernois but I went with 5 star tune and running the 93 performance/tow I gained just over 3mpg highway. I did the same 200 mile drive before and after and it's legit. Not sure if you would more or less mpg gain because mine is lifted 6 inches with 35 inch toyo mts and really benefited from the extra power. The power jump is massive. My truck is much faster than my leveled 5.4 and feels so light under acceleration if that makes since. Truly a night and day difference in daily driving with a tune

Just for your information, I had a 2011 F150 ecoboost and since I change each year (2011, 2012, 2013, 2014 and now 2015). Each year Livernois made migration for free and quickly. Anthony reply each of the emails I sending him courteously. I am completely satisfied with the service Livernois and performance of their tuner!

I first called Anthony at Livernois and left a message and then called Shawn at SSI with no answer as well. In the meantime I emailed both companies with an inquiry as to how I go about updating my tuner for the 2015 model. Here is where the fun starts...

SSI emails be back saying paypal $175 and the tuners and trucks info etc. I reply that I am simply swapping a tune that I previously purchased over to my 2015 and wondered if it were still $175. I knew Livernois and most OTB tuners offer free updates as long as the tuner was unmarried. I just wanted to make sure he knew I was a returning customer and not a new buyer.

Shawns response was "You are kidding right? It's a whole different vehicle and that maybe I should go somewhere else".

I was taken aback by this and wanted to clarify that I was simply asking because Livernois and others do it for free if you unmarry it and upgrade vehicles.

Shawns response. "Livernois doesn't do it for free." He also added that "It will be $250.00 now and not $175 and "don't compare my tunes to LMS dog****."

Meanwhile Anthony from LMS calls me back and politely tells me to email him my SN from my tuner and proceeds to send me the updater and everything I need to load up the LMS tune in my 2015.

I have never had such rude and unprofessional responses from a vendor as I did with Shawn at SSI. I enjoyed his previous tune other then the fact my cruise control never worked right and the throttle was extremely sensitive. I will not be doing business with SSI in the future and would not trust him to tune my vehicles with his childish and unprofessional business practices.

Just a heads up.

IF anyone would like to see pictures of our email convos feel free to message me your # and you can see them for yourself.

Randy,

Wow that is an extremely unprofessional way to do business. I cannot believe people would speak to a customer that way... Glad to hear everything went well for you and thank you for sharing your feedback as well!

We certainly are not known for offering the least expensive products in the industry, and IMO you get what you pay for typically in life, but we do pride our selves in offering quality products with top notch customer service. Obviously you cannot please everyone, but I personally will give it my best shot.

Part of the cost when you purchase a Mycal tuner form us is the fact that we support the device for the life so long as you own it. This includes unlimited lifetime tune updates, tweaks / revisions, additional mods, and also for your next vehicle. So long as the vehicle is supported by our device we do not charge a dime for anything other than the device. I've recently read some of the competitors free tune support which had fine print longer than this post about after 90 days this, or if you buy someone else's product that's not covered, so on and so fourth. Obviously we prefer customers purchase their additional modifications from us, but we are not going to charge for a tune update if you didn't.

Thanks again to you Randy and all of our customers out there for your business and continued support. Feel free to give me a shout guys if there is anything else we can do to help!
Anthony @ LMS

Most of our customers report improvements in MPG. 1-2 MPG better on average depending on driver , condition of the vehicle, octane, etc. With the tune, thermostat, downpipes, cold air intake, and our 93 octane tune I have been shown by a customer on his dash between 3 - 4 MPG he claimed. He's a local customer that works for the big three so big into automotive toys. He added this package and was so thrilled that he came back by on lunch to show me his average MPG on the dash.

Warranty is touchy subject on here to be honest. Everyone seems to have different opinions. We recommend an open , honest relationship with your dealer. We have never had a single issue with warranty this way on any of our vehicles here, and the dealer knows what we do with them obviously. I receive calls some times several times a day from customers that were referred by their dealer and that the service writer has our tune and products on his own vehicle for example.

Not many companies have a good working relationship with the OEM like we do. I cannot say I have ever heard a dealership say they recommend XYZ brand tunes with a brand X device that you can buy 50 different companies tunes for.
