I had a hard time deciding on a cover and did a ton of research here and other sites. My original thought was to go with the Retrax Pro. But after talking with a local dealer, decided not to chance it with the snow/ice we get here. So then I thought I had decided on the BAK Revolver X2. But when I was at the WeatherTech factory store I saw there tri-fold and liked it. I liked that there aren't drain tubes to worry about, it is very low profile, and I think it will be easy to keep snow off of. More research led to the knowledge that it is actually the Lomax Hard Trifold. I contacted Zach at Real Truck through here and the price was more than $200 below WeatherTech. I placed my order the Wed. before Thanksgiving. My cover arrived on the 30th and I installed it today.
The install wasn't difficult, but not without a couple challenges. The instructions say to torque the clamps to 20 lb.-ft. But with my torque wrench I was way past where I thought 20 lb-ft. should be. So I borrowed a neighbor's wrench and it still wouldn't break. I think what was happening was that the aluminum clamps were just grinding away under the nut.
The first time I mounted the top, it was sitting too high in the front left corner. I had mounted the rails flush, and they were ever so slightly tipped upward. So I took the top back off, lowered the rails slightly below the bed rail caps, and lowered the clamps to get the rails to sit more level. That helped lower the top a bit. It's still not sitting down quite as flat as I would like, I may readjust it again. But I figure I'll wait until it settles in a bit.
I'm a little concerned that the front seal doesn't seem to be compressed much in the front corners of the front of the box, but lowering the rails at least eliminated the gap I could see light through. I am going to get a tailgate seal - I can see a lot of light through the gap between the tailgate and box sides. For those curious, I can still use my remote tailgate release. Even after lowering the rails. I can close the tailgate with the Lomax closed, but it requires a bit more effort to get it to latch on both sides. To preserve the seal, I will probably just open the Lomax first especially in cold weather.

Last fall I decided to buy a cover for my 2017 F-150. I was looking for hard-top one, of course I knew about leaks during heavy rain and snow but anyway I was not gonna leave it outside of the garage. I realized lots of information was just garbage but finally I found Tyger. It was recommended on this top: https://truckcoverexpert.com
I am very happy that this cover is not overpriced, no need to drill when install and it looks lasting.
