I wanted something inexpensive and bought a Tyger soft trifold cover off Amazon for about $218 shipped to my house. That was for a 6.5 bed, the 5.5 is $191. If you want to get one for not much money I would suggest the Tyger. It was easy to put on and seems well built.
I went with a roll up so I could access the bed with my bike rack or ladder rack on top. Not happy about losing the space where the canister is but other than that I like it.
My assumption is that with it being so new, coupled with the cost, people don't want to take a chance on the Lomax. I personally think it looks great. I have been using a Pace Edwards Jack Rabbit for the last 15 years on my Ram and have loved it. My 150 is set for delivery in the next week, and I would be interested in the Lomax. Does the Lomax cover come with a special discount for forum members, or just the standard discount available to everyone?
After a year with BakFlip I am mostly happy. One thing I do not like is when parking on incline. You roll it uphill then it instantly rolls closes once you let go. It is not designed to be in partial open position when moving. One of my latches keeps coming loose so cover does not stay latched on one side. I have kept it fully open many times, but never removed it.

I just had a Truxedo Lo Pro put on my truck yesterday. I personally like the roll up style better then the folding style, and security isn't a real big concern. Also, I was most familiar with the lo pro, since that's what my old man has on his and it's held up for 10 years now.

I had a Extang Trifecta on my 2010 Ranger and was very happy with it.Now I'm looking at a Trifecta 2.0 and am a little disappointed.I've had 2 mounted on my truck and the fit doesn't seem to be very good.The little foam pads at the corners and hinge points are applied very sloppily to the frame,crooked and crushed from shipping.The pads at the hinge points don't even touch the top of the bed rail.There is approx. a 1/4" gap between the pad and the rail top.Also the rear clamps don't secure with the tension of the old model.I really like the profile of the 2.0 but I may just buy another base Trifecta.
The best tonneau cover? It's very subjective LOL I have the Bakflip G2 and love it but others may have differing opinions. Sort of like which is the best peanut butter - smooth or crunchy.
