Best Time to Buy New?
In the market for a new F150 Lariat 502A. When would be the best time to buy? I've been waiting on the announcement of the 2019s, but would need to buy within 3 weeks. Any tips or recommendations on when and how to get a good price would be greatly appreciated.

If I was in the market for a new truck, I'd say the best time to buy is 1 month after I do, they always have better offers/discounts AFTER I buy.

Sounds like you're doing the best approach. The model year closeout is a good time to buy. Just a word of caution, their colors are usually limited once those notifications are posted.
Good luck.
Good luck.

Read the "Just Tell Us Your Price Under Invoice Paid" Thread and go on the "2018/2019 F150/Superduty $3K Offer" Thread and get him to get you a $3,000 PCO. Just follow the format and PM him. Should be able to get around 10% Off + Any Rebates / Subsidized Interest + $3000 PCO.

I was thinking this was going to be a time of year question, but if not and it's in the next 3 weeks, I'd do the following:
3k PCO is first priority, buy before that expires, easy money that might not come back when this round expires.
Second maximize rebates, labor day sales they might go up, 5k+ is generally good, but sales and regions vary
Third, maximize tddp or dealer discount percent, negotiate the pre rebate price with a dealer, you might have to negotiate with many dealers for best discount, discounts on 18s are generally good right now, see invoice thread for how to calculate tddp and get an idea what is good for your are. It varies and techniques to negotiate can help a lot here.
As far as time of year, I'd think 4th of July sales are not a bad time of year since dealers usually have a lot of current MY trucks with new trucks getting announced soon. January might be decent since sales are generally slow and they just want to move things. It varies.

In Texas it seems to be in March during truck month. Getting a truck below invoice is not a herculean feat on high volume models. Getting Ford to lay another 7-8-9k on top of that in incentives is and they seem to do the most incentives in March.
