Best tailgate seal for 2018 bed?
I need a recommendation on a tailgate seal for a 2018 XLT. I would like to seal the sides as well as the bottom.
I've heard that many of the seals do not fit well or do not completely seal the bottom gap.
Any recommendations on one that works?

Get a seal for the sides and then just install a Rok Block for the bottom fold / lip.

I’m curious to see the answers to this as well.

I’m trying to keep dust out of my canopy covered bed when driving down dirt roads to remote camp sites. I’ve heard some people say it helps to open the sliding window at the front end of the canopy to help reduce the negative air pressure/suction caused by air going over canopy top and down the rear window. Others have said it’s a lost cause, just live with it.

There are numerous gaps in the bed edges with the sides to allow drainage.

I got the OEM one and installed it on my old 16’
it worked, but a lot of little debris and stuff would get trapped on it. Also made the tailgate need to be slammed to close properly. (This could be entirely my fault though on how i put in on). I put it over linex.
the one thing it did great?... kept water out. That bed was the most water resistant I’d ever had

Do you know if the Rok Block will interfere with a bed rug? Will the tailgate close with both?

It was near perfect in terms of no dust inside the box. I also have a hard folding tonneau. I do a lot of gravel road travel out to the lake and it worked very well.
As for the rok block, I see no reason why it wouldn't work with a bedrug.
I picked up a new truck this past winter and my plans (now that its warmed up some) is to install a new bedrug, tailgate seal and a rok block.

I believe there is a difference in the 18+ tailgate where near the top there is a huge gap where a seal will not do anything.. I have one on mine and water still gets in. I did not need it for the bottom since I have the bedrug ultimate (something like that) where it covers the gap... I am trying to find something as well to keep water out from coming in tailgate, gotta protect the softball equipment and golf clubs...
