Under seat gun mount. This is my third time using this mounting method (also had it in my Grand Cherokee and Subaru). It works pretty well and "retains" the gun should you get into a wreck and or someone not knowledgeable on Serpa holsters tries to draw it. I use a right hand draw G19 Serpa holster with the molle mount. There was no drilling required, and I mounted it using a jerry-rigged screw spacer and heavy duty zip ties. I have a Uncle Mikes mag holder mounted next to it, same method. The gun can not been seen from normal entrance/ exit. It is mounted/centered on the seat, easy to reach, and can be drawn and re-holstered one handed. There is no interference with the electric seat operation either. The holster and mag pouch are each under $50, plus some random nuts and bolts, and zip ties.

While holstered, the gun has a slight downward trajectory. This can be adjusted to your draw or taste. I figure if I get into wreck hard enough to make my gun go off then I got more problems than a few... I was issued and trained with the Serpa a while back, and have used it under my seat for years. I'm comfortable with its operation and feel like the pros outweigh the cons for this purpose. There is also a full up trauma kit behind the seat...

After getting this it looks like it belongs there, except there is no indicator which can be seen on the dash (I might cut one in it with a dremel, so I can tell on the dial whether i am selecting 2H, 4A, 4H or 4L. It gets to be more of an issue with 4x4 and locking diff. The magnet is strong, it pulls out my locking diff If I pull it straight out, but I like it!
