Default Best Method to remove a dealer stuck on sticker decal

Don't want to scratch the paint but also don't want to be a mobile billboard for the dealership.

Any suggestions?

I usually use a heat gun... I always remove there ad crap or tell them not to put it on in the first place.

I was able to remove mine with just my fingernail. Even the adhesive stayed with the sticker.

I don't blame you one bit for removing their advertising. I had to use a heat gun to remove my stickers, but a little bit of the adhesive stayed behind. I used a 3M adhesive eraser wheel to remove the residue... worked like a charm.

FYI - I once used Goof Off on my Explorer... took the adhesive AND paint right off. DOH!

Hairdryer or heat gun )be careful with that). My truck actually had three dealer emblems (like the old school raised metal type) on it, one on each fender and one on the tail gate.

They were history as soon as I got home.

My dealer puts 3 stickers on plus a license plate cover. Ridiculous. Anyway, the stickers came right off with my fingernail. Didn't even leave residue behind.

I won't even drive a new vehicle off the lot with a dealer sticker on it. I make them remove it or I don't take delivery.

-Remove sticker with fingernail
-Use Liquid Wrench (similar to WD40) to wipe off any left over adhesive
-Wash and wax the area

I've been doing this this method for years on numerous vehicles without problems.

Cool

My dealer uses license plate trim rings and window decals instead of stick on the body style.

I have no reason not to leave them on so they stay on.
