I just can't buy into the Proclip metal bracket all the way across the dash - Ford just didn't leave many good spots in this truck for a proper mount. I guess they are trying to disuading it being in visual sight

Looks good - any reason you went for the version that attaches closer to the screen than the other size of the bezel?

How's the visibility & reachability?

Were you able to route the able into the center-stack and in the cubby where the USB plugs are? Could not tell in the pic...

thanks!

I didn't want to block the vent in any way or cut the bezel. Visibility and reachability are great. I couldn't route it behind the bezel like I wanted, but it is routed into the cubby and the door is 99% closed so it looks good. I'll route it differently after Ford updates the USB hardware for the Sync 3 2.0 update. It'll take some light Dremel work.

I'll get a daytime photo tomorrow.

Have you identified a good cable routing path an what Dremel work will be needed? I ended up getting the Panavise mount as well - I tried to go the Kuda route, and they have a nice base, but it covers 1/2 of the air-vent and just did not work for me..... so, I'm ready to install the Panavise base and the Proclip iPhone dock and want to hide the cable in the process.....

For those interested in another option - Kuda USA has a mount base for the 2015/16 F-150's - it's not on their Website yet as he did not have pictures (until now). Dirk who runs the US operation is a good guy and easy to work with. I had a Kuda base in my Mazda and really wanted to make this work for me as I like the more "OE" look, but for my purposes I just did not want 1/2 the vent covered.

Installation is fairly simple - there are three tabs - one slides into the seam between the left of the vent trim and the vinyl around the dash - the other goes into the seam along the radio bezel - it hits where there must be a screw that you would drill a hole in the tab and use to secure - there is then another tab at the top

The mount is wrapped in black leather that closely matches the truck. It is a quality piece and visually looks much nicer than the metal bracket from Panavise or the big metal arm that stretches across the dashboard from Proclip. Unfortunately Ford did not leave really any good places for a proper mount location on the fully optioned trucks....

You just need to Dremel an indention in the side of the control bezel large enough for the cable to pass through, then you can route it behind there and down under the console bezel, then drill a hole in the side of the covered cubby where the USBs are. That's my plan, anyways.

Andrew GS, can you post a Link to your Mount. I have a ProClip base for my Samsung Note 5, but as most OP. I hate ProClip solution, for mounts in the new F150!

Also, did you swap your XLT steering wheel for a Lariats. For your wheel leather, looks far nicer than one in my 16 Sport xlt!

Thanks

Nothing beats the Aukey magnetic mount. Around 15$ on eBay.
