Best Brake pads?

Some people don't care for the Powerstop brakes, but after 70K miles, I'm a believer in them being really good brakes. The difference between them and stock is night and day. The stock brakes require more effort and longer stopping distance than the powerstops, and under extremely hard braking I have been able to lock all 4 wheels up at once. I've towed the Gauntlet with them and they stayed cool the entire way down. They required at least half the amount of pedal pressure to come to a stop than the stock ones do. The only issue I had was the initial break in, took longer than expected and caused a soft pedal for 1000 miles, and that was both times. I had transferred the rotors and pads to the 2016 after removing them from the 14 after it was wrecked. They sat a bit and got rusted, so required a whole new break in. Once they were well seated, they stopped the truck with at least 10' shorter distance.
IOW, they worked as advertised.

I had them on my previous truck. I put E3 pads and rotors on all four corners about 40k miles. The fronts needed to be replaced to pass inspection at 93k but could have gone another 5k or so. The rear pads still weren't half worn. Not a lot of dusting, though some showed if I didn't keep up with cleaning. Good stopping and pedal feel through their life. If I didn't actually check those front pads I never would have known they needed to be replaced. Rotor wear was exceptional too. I know what is going to replace the pads when the OEM wear out on my F150.

I would compare the costs and see - those are the semi-metallic ones hence the hybrid marketing name. I'm sure they are fine too. As I would also check the Wagner version if there is one.
Somebody else makes them - I'm not 100% certain as to who - so why would I buy them when I can buy others, potentially the same maker for cheaper. ALso I note there are 4 different versions of motorcraft pad, which to use. I'll pick one of the others. Now if there was a sale on the motorcraft pad - and it was the same price or cheaper I'd of course consider it.
Just like I still use motorcraft oil filters - but I also have a 2.7L so I don't have much choice.
Performance friction is another good company but I didn't see a listing for the F150 when I looked, maybe they do make one.

There's definitely a lot of good information on this post. Going back to the OP I'm just going to put in my two cents.
You do not do much towing, and want a clean quiet set of brakes... Use the OEM Motorcraft pads.
I work for a Ford dealer and mange the Wholesale parts dept. Most of my customers are government and private fleets and those fleets are 90% trucks. I worked in the aftermarket wholesale scene for 25 years until my customer base started shifting to OEM parts for better form, fit and function with fewer come backs or complaints. I was well aware that my customers were correct so I moved to the OEM side too.
The OEM pads and rotors for your 2016 F150 are readily available from plenty of suppliers at competitive prices. Just a quick search and I can find the front pads for $55 and the front rotors for $50 each. Maybe a little more than aftermarket, but you KNOW they were designed for your truck. I have a 2017 F150 SCREW 4x4 with the 3.5 and Max-tow and I'm very happy with the factory brake setup. The brakes are quiet, clean and have great stopping performance even when I'm towing a 6000# trailer. I know it's just my opinion, but I think Ford really hit the mark on the brake package on these trucks.
Just a note: If you purchase an aftermarket upgrade, make sure you do both the front and rear so you don't alter the F/R brake bias. Good luck with whatever you choose!

I would think they're the same across trim and years, but not sure. This is also what comes up on PFC's website (1414.20)

Second attempt. I posted, it was there, then the page kept refreshing and everything went whacko. THATS IT, Wacko, Jacko and DOT, been trying for two days to remember those little snot faces names!!!
Anyhow,
I know for a fact that 2014 RWD rotors and pads fit a 2016 4WD front and rear. The only thing to watch for that might be different is the electric parking brake. My 14 did not have them, the 16 did, but the rear rotors fit fine and worked.
And suddenly, there it is!
