Best Battery?
It is.
Though if you want to be able to charge the battery, as many do especially with work from home, covid continuing, etc, like the talk earlier in this thread about auto stop being gone, truck turning off faster when 'on' but engine off, the guy talking about "Do I need a new battery or should I plug it in to a ____?"
All of those folks are going to want more than 1 A as that is not enough current for charging a battery this size, at least not in any reasonable timeframe. I'd go at least double that and maybe more like 4-5 A

Get the CTEK MXS 5.0 model. Reasonably priced around $70 on Amazon. It's a charger and maintainer in one. 4.3 Amps. It will revive and recondition flooded cell batteries that have lowered in capacity due to stratification by rebalancing the fluid.
Stratification occurs during discharge and recharge when the acid in the electrolyte fails to mix with the water and settles to the bottom of the battery case. Over time, the concentrated acid at the bottom of the cell can damage the battery plates and significantly reduce the service life of the battery.
Due to that also, the acid layering at the bottom can still provide a full charge however, your battery will have only a percentage of its true capacity like it were half its size, so to speak. The selected mode conditioning step is not for AGM batteries. It won't hurt an AGM but it won't benefit it either. The charger will waste time trying. If you get a CTEK charger, keep that in mind.

My Costco sells Interstate batteries. They have a 36 month warrantee and Costco does not have the ability to test the battery so mine gets returned every 32 months for a free replacement. They sell deep cycle marine batteries as well so I do the same with my boat.
Have not purchased a new battery in years...

replaced my factory battery on my 15 last October. O'Reilly's was the closest parts store. Went with the super start extreme that was comparable to the battery I was pulling out of the truck. Saved $15 using our tax exempt ranch account. Battery ran me about $140 if I remember correctly.
This is the battery I purchased.

Have not purchased a new battery in years. Only hassle is that my Costco stopped selling batteries so i have to go to the one on the other side of town.
