Default Best all terain tire for winter, ice snow?

Looking at replacing the factory goodyear's for a better A/T tire. What's the best bang for the buck in a A/T that good on ice as nd snow covered roads?

If you are looking at cost to tire ratio the Falken Wildpeak AT3W is the best you can get. If you arent upsizing the 275/55r20 and 275/65r18 P rated are around 165 a tire.

I’m a fan of the the BFG AT KO2’s. Great in the snow, quiet, wear very well, and look good doing it. I’m in New England and have a long driveway with a 9 percent grade the leads to a road with up to 10 percent grade and don’t bat an eye if I leave before the plow comes.

I’ve been doing some research into this as snowboard season approaches. The BFG Ko2 and the Toyo Open country AT are the most popular here in my neck of the PNW

Neither of those are in the bang for the buck category. Both are pretty expensive.

Amp terrain pro? Don't know how good they are. I just bought a set and they were cheap. Have the snow flake rating too. I do have dedicated winters of they suck.

Goodyear Duratrac's are the best A/T tire I've ever run. The traction is unbelievable and they're not real noisey.

Off topic but we need an updated thread on these tires after you get snow. There is zero info about these tires anywhere.

Dedicated studless and studdable winter tires are the only tires I trust for true winter conditions such as packed snow or ice on roads and especially freezing rain. SE anyone ?

I've always had great luck with Cooper Discoverer ATPs. Pretty quiet, wear a long time, and excellent traction in all driving conditions, especially snow. They've saved my bacon a few times in deep snow. Plus, they're a lot cheaper than Duratracs and BFGs.
