Considering a tune for my 5.0. I mainly tow a bass boat with this truck and road trips at times. I'd like to get your all's opinion on the best all the way around tune that improves the 5.0. Not looking for hard shifts racing tunes. Also I am understand that the SCT X4 tuner isn't out yet for a 2017. Anyone have experience with the Bully Dog BDX?

I've read up on the MPT tunes and I've heard of 5 Star and Omega tunes. Looking for some real world opinions.

I have the omega tune in my 16 5.0 and love it. I tow a 18ft toyhauler with 2 Harley's inside (7200lbs total) and a 21ft boat at times. You can run 87,89, 93 or E85 at anytime. Ken knows his stuff. Throttle response and shift points are very much improved. I use the SCT X4

Go to MorePowerTuning, they sell the SCT X4 7015 and it works on 2015-2019 F150's. Its the 7015 model. They tune for the 2017.

5 star is a soft tune. essentially it feels like it just adjusts shift points and pedal sensitivity.

also the 5.0 doesnt gain much rwhp with a tune so it really comes down to shift points and pedal sensitivity anyways.

That's what I'm hearing from MPT. Think I'll hold out for the SCT to work with the '17

Omega hands down!! 1 tune for any octane rating (self adjusting like the ford tune), better throttle response and shifting. All Ken does is 5.0s and has fantastic customer service!
