Default Best 2.7 ecoboost tune

hey guys so been a while since I have been on here and im sure a lot has changed in the 2.7 tuning world. I have been focusing more on my hellcat build and going through the New York City Fire Academy, but think I am going to bite the bullet on a tune for my f150. Performance would be awesome but it would be cool to have a towing tune as well as I will be towing my car this spring to events.

Please let me know your recommendations. Truck is lifted on 37’s. If anyone has instagram you can follow both of my builds @hellcatf150

I would recommend a performance/tow type of a tune vs performance only.

I personally have been running 5 Star (I have a 91 performance and 91 performance/tow tune) I like both. Unfortunately it is winter time so I am temporarily back to stock, too much power in slippery winter condition.

Come on, Spring.

I’m interested in this topic as well. Open to running 93 octane, if needed. Anyone running a tune on a 2.7? Let’s see some dyno graphs...

Is 5star any good? I remember reading that there tunes were very basic and many didnt notice a difference.

i run 93 octane always so 93 tune is my preference. Can also do an e85 mixture as well, not sure if anyone has experimented with that yet

Livernois without a doubt. Far more comprehensive tune than most.

There is a significant difference with a tune on 2.7, depends on which octane you run. If 87 the difference is mild but still quite noticeable. I would recommend at least 91 or higher (93) for best results. I believe they now have a V2 tune which generates even more. I have run 5 Star on my last 3 trucks and the tunes have always been reliable, with no issues. I also let my motor break-in for at least 6K miles before loading a tune.

This. I’ve done plenty of research on this topic and without a doubt, Livernois Engineering.

I run the 5star 87 economy tune in my 16 2.7 and it still has pep, don't even feel the drag from my 34.5" tires at all.
others here will laugh but I also have the 5star 87 performance/ tow tune and it's great.. same tires and when one floors it, can feel it in the seat of the pants. I went back to economy because it was so fun my mileage dropped 50% and by now I would have to have a lawyer on retainer for speeding tickets. I do have a regular cab so weight may play a factor in the spunky pedal response?

Does livernois offer multiple tunes like performance and towing? Or just one all
around tune
