Beef up front end?
I run heavy 10 ply tires in the biggest size I can fit w/o lift. Does anybody have any thoughts on beefing up the front end to help with extra tire weight? Could be a non issue but my 15 is starting to make some front end clanking sounds (metal on metal... maybe a steering stabilizer ??
If you’re looking to beef up the front end strictly due to additional tire weight, it’s a non issue. An extra 40-50 pounds at best in a 5000 lb truck is nothing. If you’re wanting to beef it up for other reasons, sure. I’m not sure if you’ve done any maintenance or had to replace any of your front end components, but if you haven’t, it’s probably just worn parts. I would just check all the likely culprits in your suspension system.
"I've got a problem of some odd noise from the front, but rather than investigate or fix it, i'd like to make the front end stronger"
Forgive the asshattery, but you really have to go and look what's worn/broken first - fix the issues before upgrades.

question was more related to the 2016 I just got my wife and put the same tires on. My truck went to shop for a day and was a “can’t duplicate”.. thanks for the assumption though.

I’ll check that out. Often does it just when backing out or first driving the truck low speed. Tires at 50-60 psi

So yeah, check your anti-roll bar, shock mounts and steering linkages, they're all going to get a hammering from this kind of upgrade.
