Bedrug Mat
#33
I think the reason the mat is a bit small as the OP pointed out is so that it can fit inside a drop in plastic liner. The full Bedrug though is a snug fit, the padded sides help protect the walls from dents in case crap rolls around from a hard turn or panic stop.

I had a rubber mat but it had too much friction when sliding things in and out -- it would tear up cardboard boxes. The bedrug is perfect, and much more comfortable when crawling in the back.
They added the velcro because some have flown out. I haven't taped mine down -- the velcro is actually crooked on one side -- but to be safe I take it out if I'm going on the freeway with nothing in the bed. Hoping to get a bed cover soon.
I got the bed/tailgate combo for $190 from a local dealer, including tax.

$199 is for the Bed Mat and Tailgate Mat, not the full BedRug. I ended up paying $130 for the Bed Mat from Forum vendor Autoplicity. They advised against the tailgate mat ($43) because it has a tendency to not adhere well to the vertical surface of the tailgate. When a vendor suggests not spending money on a product they sell, I tend to listen.

My Bedrug Mat arrived today. I have a tonneau cover so I've decided not to use the velcro strips. For those of you who have done this, I assume the mat will lay down flat after a few days? I've put several heavy boxes of vinyl tile down on it in the meantime to keep it flat.
Thanks.
Thanks.
